David Tanenbaum

David Tanenbaum is an attorney and trade consultant with more than 20 years of experience in international trade and policy gained through work in private law firms, the Geneva-based Agency for International Trade Information and Cooperation, the U.S. Government (International Trade Administration and Foreign Agricultural Service), in addition to work as an independent consultant. He is a respected authority on trade remedies, trade facilitation, regional integration and trade policy, laws and regulations in the context of multilateral, regional and bilateral trade relations.

Mr Tanenbaum has worked extensively in many parts of the world, including North, East and West Africa, the Middle East, South Asia, Europe, the former Soviet Union and China. His experience includes positions in government, private industry, and international organizations.

He has represented and advised clients and the broader trade community on all aspects of trade litigation and negotiations.

Mr Tanenbaum has worked with the governments of Seychelles, Syria, Ethiopia and Azerbaijan on legislation required to ensure harmonization upon accession to the WTO, and has delivered training on legal drafting, trade facilitation, regional integration, trade policy and AD/CVD to participants from more than 30 countries.

Mr Tanenbaum has provided technical assistance to LDCs and LACs, including advice regarding mainstreaming of trade into economic national priorities, streamlining customs procedures issues, accession to international organizations, and dispute settlement.

Mr Tanenbaum is a graduate of the Case Western Reserve Law School and Georgetown University Law Center and is admitted to the practice of law in multiple jurisdictions.
